This month is unique for us — we are presenting a special combined edition of the Chesapeake 360, featuring articles and events from the Southern Maryland region. As many of our readers are probably not aware, Chesapeake 360 is a regional magazine, and there is a Special Sections editor in each region to provide you with local happenings and activities specific to your area.

This month, however, we have a special new addition to our Special Sections team, as Megan Johnson, our Southern Maryland editor, welcomes the newest member of her family, baby Hadley Rose Johnson. While she is away, we have decided to combine our efforts with guest editor Sara Newman and present an issue with events from all across the Chesapeake region.

Enjoying a winery tour isn’t just for adults anymore — bring the whole family to Southern Maryland wineries and enjoy picnicking and more. Find out about concerts throughout the region and find a full schedule of the Chesapeake Chamber Orchestra’s annual event, featuring nationally-renowned musicians in myriad venues throughout Talbot County on the Eastern Shore.

You can also find live entertainment throughout the area and enjoy a night out on the town. Find out all the details in Lena Ellwanger’s “Hit the Deck.”

No matter which side of the Bay you’re on, the Chesapeake region offers some of the best food and entertainment on any waterfront.

As always, we present our comprehensive calendar of arts and entertainment, and outdoor activities, extended this month to include the entire Chesapeake Bay area. Find more great articles at or follow us on Facebook at
