Easton AAUW (American Association of University Women) will hold a used book sale on Friday, October 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, October 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church Parish House at Harrison and South St. in Easton.

The event will also feature a gently used costume jewelry sale. If you would like to donate books, DVDs, videotapes, CDs or jewelry, please bring them to the Christ Church Parish House on Thursday, October 19 between 9 a.m. and noon. No magazines, (including National Geographic) or textbooks will be accepted. Please do not leave books at the Parish House before October 19.

Profits from this event will support AAUW’s Education Foundation. Founded in 1881, AAUW has been an influential, respected voice in the Halls of Congress and statehouses for over a hundred years. Today, AAUW is also an international advocate for women’s rights. AAUW supports hundreds of educational, community, and research projects and grants.

In over 1,000 branches across the U.S., women unite at the grassroots level to help others. When we help women, we help everyone in that family and that community. In 2018, AAUW’s Easton, Maryland branch will celebrate sixty years of advancing the position of women on the Easton Shore.
